Bleckley Bands fall concert November 10.

A fall concert featuring the seventh grade band, eighth grade band, and BCHS Wind Ensemble will be November 10 at 6:30 pm in the high school auditorium. Admission is free.

Cochran church holding fall festival Saturday.

Lakeview Baptist Church will hold their fall festival November 10 from 2-4 pm.  All local children are invited to attend, food, fun, games, more.  The church is located at 203 Lakeview Church Road.

New art exhibition opening at Middle Georgia State November 12.

The Bryan Beck & Yen-Ting Chiu Art Exhibition will open November 12 at Middle Georgia State University. A gallery talk and opening reception will be held that night at 6 pm inside Peacock Gallery, located on the first floor of Russell Hall on the Cochran campus. The exhibition will be on display through January 11, 2019. Peacock Gallery hours are 8 am-5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, 8 am-noon on Friday. Closed during university holidays.

Luncheon, auction, will benefit women's mission trip to Panama.

Bethany Baptist Church's Baptist Women's Ministry will hold their third annual luncheon and auction at noon following the morning service. Meal of chili followed by a live and silent auction with proceeds going toward their annual mission trip to Panama. BCHS girls cross country makes history.

BCHS girls cross country makes history.

The Runnin' Royals girls cross country team won the AA state title Saturday in Carrollton.  It's their straight, marking the first three-time state champion in Bleckley County High School histry.  The third title also eclipses competition cheerleading, winner of two state titles.  The girls had four runners in the top ten including Emily Youngblood who finished state runner up.
