Girls win, boys lose, in split at Northeast.

The Lady Royals won their region basketball opener 32-23 at Northeast Tuesday night while the Royals suffered their first loss of the season 54-42. BCHS hosts Dublin December 7 at 6 pm.

Bleckley high, middle school bands, holding Christmas concerts December 10, 11.

Both the BCHS Concert Band and BCMS seventh and eighth grade bands will hold their Christmas concerts December 10 and 11. The BCHS concert will be December 10 with the middle school concert the next night. Both will be held in the high school auditorium, each start at 6 pm. Admission is free.

Good weekend for BCHS boys, tough one for girls.

It was a good weekend for the BCHS boys basketball teams as they defeated Westside-Macon 75-74 Friday night and rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Perry 64-56 last night. The Lady Royals didn't fare as well, losing 50-46 Friday and 58-27 Saturday. Food bank providing food to kids when not in school seeking donations.

Cochran Pediatrician Dr. Bill's Kids operates a food pantry designed to provide food for local children who may not have food when not in school. Donations of non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, crackers, Vienna sausages, pop tarts, would be appreciated. Items can be dropped off at the office, 426 GA 26 E.
