Girls tennis caps dominant playoff run with third straight state title.

The BCHS girls tennis team hadn't lost a single match going into Saturday's state championship against Berrien High School. That streak remained intact as Bleckley won 3-0, becoming the second team in school history to win three consecutive state titles.

The Royals got a good outing from first-year transfer senior Dylan Cowart and clutch hitting to defeat Westside-Augusta 7-2 Friday and advance to the elite eight.  Click here for more.

Cochran-Bleckley Friends of the Library will hold a thrid spring book sale May 11 from 9 am-2pm at the old BCHS Library, 115 SE Ninth St.  Variety of books available, softbacks for $.25, hardbacks $1.00.  Also available are old high school yearbooks from 2001, 2003, 2009, 2012, 2013, & 2014.  To learn more about the group, visit them on Facebook.

Big inning in game two helps BCHS keep season alive.

Bleckley lost game one of yesterday's second round playoff series to Westside-Augusta 4-3 and trailed 3-2 going to the sixth inning of game two.  The Royals though exploded for seven runs to even the series at one game each.  To read more, click here.

New assistant principal named at called BOE meeting.

As one of several items taken care of at Monday night's called Bleckey Board of Education meeting, BCHS teacher Brad Knox was promoted to assistant principal for the FY20 school year.  He'll replace Laura Rowland, who will become K-12 Curriculum Director.
