Cochran church to hold Community Revival, Homecoming services.

Turner Chapel AME Church will hold a a Community Revival October 2-4.  Guest speakers are as follows.  Tuesday- Pastor Patricia Jones, Free Providence Baptist Church.  Wednesday-  Rev. Gregory Cutts, Christian Hope Baptist Church.  Thursday- Rev. Bobby Jackson, Union Chapel Baptist Church.  All three services start at 7 pm.

 

Homecoming will be October 7 at 3 pm.  Guest speaker will be Rev. Bruce Frances, Duresville AME Church.  Dinner to follow.  Turner Chapel is located at 16 North Seventh Street.

Another good day on the mat for Bleckley cheerleading.

Another good day on the mat for Bleckley cheerleading.

Both the Bleckley middle and high school cheerleaders faced a lot of competition at the West Laurens Raider Rumble Saturday.  There were eight schools in the small school middle school division, 12 in the AA division which finished the day.

Bleckley football suffers second straight close loss.

Bleckley BOE votes on construction delivery method for new primary school.

Construction Manager at Risk was voted by the Bleckley County Board of Education as the delivery method for the new primary school at Tuesday night's monthly meeting. They also approved the purchase of new technology that will allow students to take a 3-D look at items, filled a coaching vacancy, and more.   Click here to find out.

Cochran church collecting item donations for victims of Hurricane Florence.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church is collecting donations to help the victims of Hurricane Florence. The following items are needed. Diapers, Wipes, Feminine, Hygiene Products, Pacifiers, First Aid Kits, Toiletries, Insect Repellent,, Packs of new socks, Solar powered battery packs, Fans, Hammers, Pry bars, Shovels, Heavy duty trash bags, Dawn dishwashing liquid. Items can be dropped off at the church office, 134 Abney Road from 8 am-noon on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, all day on Wednesdays. Call the church at (478)934-0810 for more information.
