The Red Cross held a blood drive in the Bleckley County Extension Office main room. People were asked to come and donate in honor of Barbra Cook. Cook, a local resident and volunteer for over 18 years, missed as she's recovering from a minor stroke. The goal was 26 donations, 36 people showed up. Three people were unable to give, so the final total was 33. The next blood drive is October 21.
