Church opening food bank to local residents tomorrow.

Faith Temple Precious Faith Ministries will open their food bank to local residents tomorrow from 3:30-4:30 pm. Contact Sherri Ligon, (478)298-2844, for more information. The church is located at 383 GA 87 in Cochran.

Weather cancels BCHS softball game at Wilcox County.

The Lady Royals were en route to Rochelle for a Monday afternoon game at Wilcox County when they received a phone call about weatehr issues, cancelling the game.  As a result, the September 10 game in Cochran that was originially set to be a JV/Varsity doubleheader has been changed into a varsity only doubleheader starting at 4 pm.  Weather permitting, BCHS plays at Washington County today at 5:30 pm.

Cochran church opening food bank August 29.

Cornerstone Church of Cochran's Love Center Food Bank will be open August 29 from 11 am-2 pm in the church parking lot, 129 East Beech Street, while supplies last.  A promotional flyer states it's open to "anyone who could benefit from a free box of food and love."
