"No one is immune."

Willie Raines bought his “Combat Bullying Tour” to the Bleckley County Middle School gym Tuesday night. Raines stressed things like parental involvement in the lives of their children and daily positive reinforcement of them. He spoke of the importance of recognizing the signs of depression such as withdrawal and lack of appetite. To demonstrate his point that no one was immune from the effects of depression, Raines shared a story of how he had to eulogize the son of his best friend who committed suicide and how by asking questions and seeing certain words on his oldest daughter’s social media, he was able to get her to admit she was battling depression. Raines closed by taking questions from the audience.
