Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be January 16 at 10 am.  Reader will be Lynne Sanders.  Story Time is presented by the Bleckley County Retired Educators.

MGA's Moe to be recognized for 300 wins January 10.

Middle Georgia State men's head basketball coach Scott Moe will be recognized for winning his 300th career game Thursday when the Knights host Univeristy of Mobile at 7:30 pm.  Moe won his 300th game in November at College of Coastal Georgia in double overtime.  There will also be a MGA women's game against University of Mobile that day at 5:30.

Tough weekend as basketball team return to the court.

The BCHS basketball teams returned to the court this weekend playing at Montgomery County Friday night and at Dodge County last night.  Though the Lady Royals won Friday, they lost at Dodge County and also saw starting guard Jayla Willis go out with a knee injury.

Special services upcoming at Cochran church.

Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 163 N Seventh St, will have special services January 13 and 20. On January 13, the church will hold the 100 Men in Black program at 2 pm. The Rev. Ernest Lawson, Jr. will bring the message. The church will celebrate their mission anniversary January 20 at 3 pm with guest speaker Rev. Stephanie Slocumb, past of Fountain Grove A.M.E. Church in Irwinton.
