Red Cross Blood Drive October 21.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in the main building of the Bleckley County Extension Office, 165 E. Peacock Street, October 21 from 2-7 pm.  Schedule an appointment online by going to redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code "Cochran."  Save up to 15 minutes on the day of your appoinment by going redcrossblood.org/rapidpass to complete your pre-donation reading and health history questionaire.

Friends of the Library "Big Book Sale" October 19.

Cochran Bleckley Friends of the Library will hold a "Big Book Sale" October 19 at the old BCHS Library, 115 SE Ninth Street.  Soft cover books for $.50, hardback books for $1.  High school yearbooks from 2001, 2003, 2009, 2012, 2013, & 2014 will also be available.  Proceeds will benefit the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran Bleckley Library.

BCHS One Act to present a tale as old as time.

Enjoy a "tale as old as time" when Bleckley County High School One Act performs this year's competition piece, "Beauty and the Beast, Jr." Showtimes are October 20 at 3 pm, October 22 and 24 at 7 pm. Admission $6 for adults, $3 for students. Enchanted roses will be on sale for $2. Get a picture with your favorite cast member for $3.
