Bleckley Teacher Shares Stories of Career | Best Of

A teacher for about 20 years total, Sandra Jarrett has seen many faces come through the doors of her classroom. A literature teacher at Bleckley County High School,  she also has quite a funny story of how she got to be where she is today.

In 1976, Sandra Jarrett started her teaching career at Lee County High School. "I wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer I thought at first," said Mrs. Jarrett,  "but then I realized I wanted to teach." She hasn't always taught just literature classes. Before being a strictly English teacher she taught history classes as well.
