Ben Rogers, named the "Winningest Georgia Junior College Basketball Coach" by the Atlanta Tip Off Club in 1997 after winning 468 games for Middle Georgia College, was named to the Decatur County Hall of Fame in Bainbridge on March 2. 

Rogers, who coached MGC from 1968-1993, is a Bainbridge native and was an All State Football Player for the Bearcats in 1955-56.  Rogers received a scholarship and lettered  in football all four years playing for Troy State  University from 19560-60.  He also lettered in tennis in 1960.  

While coaching the Warriors, Rogers took the 1978 and 1980 teams to the NJCAA Tournament.  The 1980 team won the Southeast Junior College Tittle. 

Over 140 players under Rogers went on to sign with four-year schools.    Rogers was named to the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 1998.
