Though Bleckley County Middle School couldn't win a fourth striaght MGMSAA cheerleading title Thursday night, the squad had their best performance of the season in finishing runner up.  To read more, click here.

BCHS welcomes home FFA National Champion Ag Mechanics Team.

The Bleckley FFA Ag Mechanics team placed first at nationals October 27.  Yesterday, they were welcomed home by a small group of family and friends.  To read more about their win, click here.

A perfect day for BCHS cross country teams.
The Runnin' Royals cross country teams both had perfect scores of 15 as each won the 3-AA title Thursday morning. Emily Youngblood was individual girls champion, Austin Perez was runner up. Jaylen Thigpen was boys individual champion, Austin Hiner was runner up. Both teams will be in Carrollton for state November 3. The boys run at 9:30 am, girls 10:15

Former BCHS softball player to continue career at UGA.

Former Bleckley and current Gordon State softball player Hannah Coulter has "Committed to the G." Coulter announced via social media Thursday she'll be continuing her career with the University of Georgia in 2019. As a freshman, Coulter hit .312 with 10 doubles, three home runs, and 43 RBI. She was a first team selection to the NJCAA All Region Team.

Luke Churchwell, an eighth grade member of the Bleckley County Middle School boys cross country team, placed first overall in the small school division of the Georgia Middle School State Cross Country Championships held Saturday in Cochran.  The boys team finished second.

For the second straight Saturday, BCHS traveled in order to be scored by different judges, going to Johns Creeek High School for the "Battle at the Colosseum."  While winning was nice, Bleckley was scored tougher, getting feedback that will help in their goals of winning region and building on last year's sixth place finish at state.
