Local girl crowned Miss Hospitality Queen at pageant.

Dollie Rose Greene was crowned "Miss Hospitality Queen" at the 2019 Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant held this past weekend in Tifton.  Dollie Rose's parents are Douglas and DeeAnne Greene.

BCHS baseball players receive all state honors.

The Georgia Dugout Club recently announced selections for the AA All State Team. Lane Kitchens was a fist team selection. Brody Little and Carson Waters both made second team. Jack Fernandez and Tripp Purser were honorable mentions.

Bleckley County High School Junior Willie Chambers won the state title in his division at the USA Powerlifting Georgia High School Championships held Saturday in Duluth. The BCHS team finished second.

Local softball player named MVP at tournament.

Though she plays with another team, Mallory Sears has been helping out with The B-Team, a new travel softball team designed to help local players get better and prepare for the next level of school ball.  Saturday, she picked up with them in their debut at Southern Pines.  Sears was voted by the umpires as tournament MVP.
