Dodge County Continues Economic Development Planning Meetings | Business
The Eastman-Dodge County Chamber of Commerce hosted a continuation of the community discussion on the economic process in Dodge County Saturday.
Facilitated by Dennis Epps and Rob Gordon of Carl Vinson Institute, the meeting was attended by thirty-three people representing the City of Eastman, Dodge County Commissioners, Eastman-Dodge County Chamber of Commerce, Heart of Georgia Regional Airport Authority, and Dodge County-Eastman Development Authority.
“I am excited about the progress made in the past couple of months,” stated Mr. Dennis Epps, who encouraged participants to continue developing Dodge County’s image as a business-friendly community that supports its existing industries.
Action steps focused on devising a plan to design, promote, and market Dodge County’s available assets, as well as the creation of teams tasked with implementing each action step. Teams will meet individually as their members and tasks require, and report their progress back to the entire group.
“It was great to experience the enthusiasm and spirit of this group. I know this is the first of many productive, intelligent economic development planning sessions for the betterment of Dodge County,” said Chamber President Judy Hemphill Madden.
All community members are invited to join this process for positive growth, and are encouraged to contact Judy Hemphill Madden, President and Economic Developer with Eastman-Dodge County Chamber of Commerce at 478-374-4723 for more information.
