Volunteers lend a hand for Miracle Treat Day | Community Spirit
For the twelfth strraight year, Cochran's Dairy Queen participated in Miracle Treat Day Thursday. Started by the national company, the annual event raises funds for Children's Miracle Network. One dollar of Blizzards sold and ten percent of all other sales Thursday in Cochran will go to the Children's Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
A variety of community figures lent a hand behind the counter or helped in other ways. They included Bleckley County High School Principal Trey Belflower and Athletic Director Benjy Rogers, members of both the Cochran Police and Bleckley Sheriff's office, cast members from Princesses with a Purpose, Middle Georgia State College staff as well as the men's soccer team.
Totals are expected next week.
