Shorthanded Bleckley All Star Team Finishes Second in Tournament | Community Spirit

Cochran girls invitational tournament finals for the 7-8 division were held Monday. Games had been posptoned from Thursday due to rain. Bleckley's team had just nine players Monday with three on summer vacation. When play resumed, they trailed Dodge County 6-1 in the top of the second.
Bleckley rallied, scoring 17 runs in the third inning, en route to a 34-17 victory. Against Hawkinsville in the finals, a rough second inning erased an early lead as the team lost 21-6. In just three tournaments, the 7-8 team came away with two trophies. District play begins Saturday in Hawkinsville at 10 am versus Glennville.
