Annual Passing Tournament Renamed in Memory of Bleckley Statistician | Community Spirit

Over the past three summmers BCHS has been host to a seven on seven passing tournament. It was named the Bill Bonds Air War in memory of Johnson County Head Coach Bill Bonds. This year, a new name was unveiled.
As teams entered Royal Stadium, they saw a purple and gold sign that read Chris Harris Air Show. This year's tournament was renamed in memory of longtime statistician Chris Harris. Harris passed away after suffering a heart attack in April. The tournament allowed new head coach Tracy White and his staff to observe players against other teams in a series of controlled scrimmages which began at 9 am. Schools besides Bleckley participating were: Hawkinsville, Twiggs County, Warner Robins, Worth County, Fitzgerald, and Jones County.
