Annual Passing Tournament Renamed in Memory of Bleckley Statistician

Over the past three summmers BCHS has been host to a seven on seven passing tournament.  It was named the Bill Bonds Air War in memory of Johnson County Head Coach Bill Bonds.  This year, a new name was unveiled.

As teams entered Royal Stadium, they saw a purple and gold sign that read Chris Harris Air Show.  This year's tournament was renamed in memory of longtime statistician Chris Harris.  Harris passed away after suffering a heart attack in April.  The tournament allowed new head coach Tracy White and his staff to observe players against other teams in a series of controlled scrimmages which began at 9 am.  Schools besides Bleckley participating were: Hawkinsville, Twiggs County, Warner Robins, Worth County, Fitzgerald, and Jones County.
