The Lady Royals softball team, who went to the elite eight for the second time in school history last year *First since converting to fastpitch* have been busy preparing for the 2012 season. 

Starting Monday, players who've been participating in summer workouts (including returning team members) will travel to Forsyth to play in the PawPrint Classic hosted by Mary Persons High School. 

Tryouts for the 2012 team will start July 23 at 9 am at the high school softball field.  Anyone wishing to try out must have a current physical on file.  Call Coach Janice Bryan at 478-230-3057 with any questions. 

The Diamond Club (booster club that supports BCHS softball) is also getting ready for the season.  Right now, they're selling pork chop plates.  Tickets are $7.50 and include pork chop, bread, green beans, brownie, and tea.  Tickets can be purchased by calling club president Joe Meadows at 478-697-6448.  Plates can be picked up July 22 from 11 am to 1 pm at the high school softball field.
