Free Mentoring Training at BCMS September 28 | Community Spirit

Communities In Schools Of Cochran/Bleckley County and Family Connection Community Partnership Inc. is offering free New Mentor Training on September 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bleckley County Middle School. 

The training serves as the kickoff for the mentoring program at BCMS for 2012-13.

The program has been existence since 2008.  Applicants must be 18, complete the training, and undergo a background check. 

A news release states that adults and students are matched up based upon interests, hobbies, and personalities of both the student and adult through their application and interviews. 

Mentors are required to spend one hour a week with the student.
