Bleckley Girl Receives Great News After Medical Scare | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Ten-year old Sara-Beth Martin of Cochran has already endured a liver transplant. Recently, things hadn't been going well with her replacement liver. Her GGT (Gamma-glutamyl Transferase) numbers had gone up. Anti-rejection medications weren't helping. So last Wednesday, it was decided that she would have a liver biopsy to see if her body was rejecting the liver.
Monday, the procedure was held. Tuesday afternoon, the family learned there was no rejection. Sara-Beth's mom, Becky Martin says that that there will be an adjusting of medications and monthly lab visits for drawing blood. Becky appreciates the many prayers, texts, and Facebook posts of support.
