Title (Max 100 Characters)
Football Fridays in Cochran have been quite busy and exciting with the Royals success this year. This past Friday, it was especially busy at Royal Stadium. There was a "Pink Out" organized by campus organizations as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. They held a pre-game tailgate party outside the stadium.
Before the game, cancer survivors and their families released pink balloons into the air.
It was also rec. department night. CBRD football palyers got to run through the helmet before the game. At halftime, representatives from local business Electronics Unilimited and Alltel Wireless presented rec. director Reggie Warren with a $1,000 check. The money came from the "Yards For Youth" program sponsored by Alltel. During Bleckley's games versus Dodge and Crawford County, Alltel donated $1for every yard gained.
The total was $500. But as an Alltel represenative explained, to demonstrate their committment to the rec. department and youth football, the money was doubled to $1,000.
