Local Church to Serve as Collection Site for Operation Christmas Child | Community Spirit

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, located at 134 Abney Road in Cary, will be a collection site for Operation Christmas Child. A news release issued Wednesday said the goal is to reach over 100 million children for the operation that has been ongoing since 1993.
Operation Christmas Child collects shoe boxes of toys, school supplies, and hygiene items and sends them to needy children overseas. The effort is done via Samaritan's Purse, a Christian relief and evangelism organization led by the Rev. Franklin Grahm.
Shoe boxes of items can be dropped off at Mt. Calvary the week of November 12-19. Hours are as follows. November 12-16: 4-8 pm. November 17: 9 am-noon. November 18: 3-6 pm. November 19: 9 am-noon.
