Bleckley Primary Students Learn What it takes to Make Plants Grow

Tuesday and Wednesday, the Seed Survivor mobile classroom visited Bleckley County Primary School.  Seed Survivor is done by fertilizer company Agrium and done in Georgia by Georgia Farm Bureau. 

Second grade students visited pover the two days.

The mobile classroom provided interactive games designed to teach things like what nutrients are needed to make crops grow. 

They also learned about soil and got the opportunity to plant sunflower seeds. 

Teresa Chambers, Donna Rocker, and Andy Lucas served as instructors.  Rocker is the state chair for Georgia Farm Bureau's Agriculture In The Classroom program that is designed to help students understand the role of agriculuture in society.
