Bleckley Non-Profit Seeks to Raise $20K for Anniversary

The Cochran-Bleckley United Givers Fund, a local nonprofit that raises money for Bleckley charities and government organizations with a public purpose.  They are celebrating 50 years.  A news release lists some of the donations they've made which includes: Bleckley DFACS, Bleckley 4-H, the Cochran-Bleckley Fire Department, and the Tessie W. Norris Library.

To celebrate their anniversary, the UG has set a goal of raising $20,000 for 2012-13.  It began with a grill raffle at the CountryFest.  One way people can donate is to partcipate in Georgia Givers Day on December 6.  Georgia Givers Day is a new event designed to raise as much money as possible for nonprofits in a 24-hour period.  Donate to Cochran-Bleckley United Givers by clicking here
