Softball tournament to benefit Bleckley woman battling cancer.

Trina's Prayer Pals's Benefit Co-ed softball tournament will be held June 11 at the Cochran-Bleckley Recreation Department.  Tournament start time is 8 am.  Entry fee is $150 per team.

Concessions and t-shirts will be available.  All money will go to the Trina Anderson Fund.  Anderson was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.  She underwent two lumpectomies followed by four rounds of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiation.

Despite this, she learned she was prenant with her son Braley Cole Fountain in January 2010.  He was born on September 16 of that year.  However, in March of this year, she learned the cancer had returned and had metastasized to her lungs, liver bones and brain.  Anderson is currently at home spending time with her family.

Registration is due by May 31.  To register or for more info, contact Amy Gurr at amy.gurr@hotmail.com or 478-697-0208.
