DNA Results Confirm Remains Are Missing MGSC Student

STORY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Human remains recovered in Hawkinsville have been identified as 19-year-old Jmaal Keyes.

- Keyes went missing April 25 from the Cochran campus of Middle Georgia State College.

- Robert Kane Rolison, 17, was charged in Keyes' murder after remains were found his home.

Human remains found at a Hawkinsville site last week have been confirmed by DNA tests as Jmaal Keyes, the Middle Georgia State College student that went missing April 25.

That's according to a GBI news release.

Keyes' biological parents provided a DNA sample to authorities who matched it to remains found near the home of 17-year-old Robert Kane Rolison.

Abducted 4-Year-Old Airlifted After Eastman Accident

STORY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Priscilla Hurt, 24, is accused of kidnapping her 4-year-old daughter, Mi-Kurhea Mumford.

- Mumford was airlifted to the Medical Center after she was ejected from her mother's car in a three-vehicle wreck.

- Though she suffered a skull fracture, Mumford is listed in stable condition.

Before the Amber Alert for Mi-Kurhea Mumford was even issued, the 4-year-old Sumter County girl was being airlifted to a Macon hospital after a three-car wreck in Eastman.

Mumford suffered a skull fracture, Georgia State Patrol Trooper Michael Jackson says, but is in stable condition Friday in the Medical Center of Central Georgia's Intensive Care Unit.

Eastman Man Found Dead at Home

The GBI is investigating the apparent homicide of an Eastman man found dead at his home.

That's according to Todd Lowery, special agent in charge of the GBI's Eastman office.

He said a family member found Gregory Scott Giddens dead in the home on Sixth Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Lowery said investigators believe he died sometime late Friday or Saturday. Giddens' SUV was not at the house and was later found elsewhere in Eastman, he said.

He said the cause of death is unknown, and Giddens' body has been sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.

A family member told 13WMAZ that Giddens was 50.

River Search Now Underway for Jmaal Keyes' Body

Law enforcement is now searching along the Ocmulgee River in two counties, Bleckley and Pulaski, for the body of Jmaal Keyes.

That's according to Todd Lowery, agent in charge of the GBI's Eastman office.

He said they've gotten conflicting information on where that body might be and so far they're not focused on a particular spot. Lowery declined to describe the tip or where it came from.

"We've gotten several pieces of information that sent us in different
directions in terms of where the body might be. We're just trying to
cover all our bases."

Several agencies are helping in the search, by boat and helicopter, he said.

Robert Kane Rolison is charged with murder in that case.

Cochran Church Fire Ruled Arson

A Sunday-morning church fire in Cochran has been ruled arson, according to Glenn Allen of the state fire marshal's office.

He said they're offering a reward of up to $10,000 for tips in the fire at St. James AME Church.

People with information on the case can call the state arson hotline at 1-800-282-5804.

The fire consumed the church, leaving members picking up the pieces Sunday.

You have to drive down two dirt roads to get to St. James AME church. It was the home of about 21 members.

Because of its isolated location, members say it's been a long-time target of theft.

"We know that in the past, people have broken in and stolen the air conditioning units to sell," says Gerald Harris, the pastor of the church for the last five years.

Since then, those units have been locked up but church members say thieves tried to strike again, failed, and set the sanctuary on fire.

Dodge Bus Driver Charged With Molestation

A Dodge County school bus driver, who is also a former teacher and coach, is in jail charged with child molestation.

54-year-old Jimmy Frost of Eastman was arrested Monday and faces a single count of aggravated child molestation. That's according to Todd Lowery, special-agent in charge of the GBI's Eastman office.

Lowery says the single charge is not connected to Frost's school duties. But GBI is investigating whether there were other victims.

He said anyone with information on Frost can call the Dodge County Sheriff's Office at (478) 374-8131 or the GBI at (478) 374-6988.

Lowery would not discuss any details of the alleged molestation, including when or where it may have taken place.

"A lot of people are involved in this, a lot of people have been interviewed," he said.
