The Holiday Season is upon us and it is time for the Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade and Open House. Please join us Saturday, December 1st at 5:30 p.m. for the parade.Open House will be from 10:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. The theme of this year’s parade is “The Music and Magic of Christmas”.
FBC Hawkinsville will be having a Pulaski County D-Now for the youth of our community; NOT just one church, but the body of churches in our community and surrounding communities. Our mission is to worship God and give the youth a weekend focused on celebrating our Lord and Savior. Our hope is to revive them! Our hope is to inspire them! Our hope is that their relationship with Christ will be strengthened as well as their relationships with each other! D-Now will be held 25-27 January 2013 at FBC Hawkinsville. The cost is $20.00 which includes meals, materials, and a t-shirt.

Bleckley County Middle to hold production
Bleckley County Middle School is getting in the Christmas spirit with its production of 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,' at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 18, Tuesday in the Bleckley County Middle School cafeteria. The play will feature seventh and eighth grade students.
The event is sponsored by the BCMS Chorus Classes. Cost is $5.00. Prior to the play, at 5:30, a blind auction will be held. Items such as wreaths, homemade cakes, jewelry, Christmas items, gift certificates, hair products, gardening supplies, and much more.
A blind auction is where a person bids on an item and puts the bid in a box so that no one knows their bid. The highest bidder wins the item. A gun raffle for Lynn Tripp with proceeds to benefit is being held. He had a heart transplant on Fathers Day of this year. The gun is a Mossberg .270 bolt action rifle with a scope. Tickets are $ 5.00 each. The drawing will be held on Dec 22, 2012 live on Big Wuff radio, 97.5 F.M.. It will be held during the Saturday Night Country Club show sometime between 6:00 P.M. and midnight. I'm thinking around 7:00 P.M. but not sure. All Federal and State laws apply. Benefit Yard Sale for Gavin Wright, the 6 year old son of Brooke and Steve Wright. A former resident of Eastman that has been diagnosed with severe, non-verbal autism. His family needs help for his continued care. Donations of cash or yard sale items are accpted through November 30 for the yard sale which will be December 1 in front of the Eastman American Legion Building. Santa Claus is coming to the Tessie W. Norris(Cochran/Bleckley) Library, December 12, at 10 a.m. for Santa Story Time. This is sponsored by the retired educators.
