BCHS Miss Diamond Girl Pageant March 31

The Royal Dugout Club will present the Miss Diamond Girl Pagent March 31 at 6 pm inside the BCHS Auditorium.  Age groups range from Baby Miss (up to 23 months) through Miss (Grades 9-12)  Contestants will be escorted on stage by members of the Royals baseball team. 

Each participant will receive a T-shirt.  Entry fee is $50.  Four optional categories (Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Dress, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Smile) are $5 each.  

Miss Photogenic is $10.  None of the optional categories will be included in the queen's  Contestants will be judged on poise, stage personality, and beauty.

The Hakwinsville Opera House holds the Middle Georgia Talent show on Saturday, March 10.

That's from 6-10 p.m.

Cochran Masons Catfish Dinner March 24

Cochran Masonic Lodge #217 F&AM will have a catfish dinner March 24 from 4-7 pm at the lodge located at 217 Masonic Drive. 

Plates are $8 and will feature catfish fillets, french fries, cold slaw, and hush puppies. 

Plates may be picked up to go or for dine in.

Proceeds from the dinner will go to charity.

Dodge Co. Baseball Off to a Great Start

Dodge Co Indians Baseball team is off to a great start. Their current record is 3-1-1. The Indians are coached by Coach Jared Allen and Matt Starley.

They are led by Seniors Chip Miller, Jojo Harrison, Brad Butler, Tybo Johnson, and Devin Northcutt.  

They will start Region play next week and look forward to a winning season. Come out and support your Indian Baseball team!

'Georgia's Longest Yard Sale' This Weekend

Georgia’s longest yard sale, the Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale, is this weekend.

That's on March 9-10 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days along US Highway 341, a news release says.

The 200 plus mile yard sale will link peach-growing counties in middle Georgia to the beaches of Brunswick and the Golden Isles, with stops in most communities along the way. Official yard sale hours will be Friday – Saturday, March 9-10, 8am – 6pm, rain or shine.
