First Baptist Church Presents "When Christmas Comes"

First Baptist Church presents "When Christmas Comes" Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. 

The program will include the church choir, praise band and narrators sharing the music of Christmas.

First Baptist Church is located at 101 South Second Street in Cochran.

Local Church to Present Christmas Musicals

Mount Calvary Baptist Church will present its children's and adult Christmas musicals on consecutive Sundays in December. 

On Dec. 12, the children's musical "Go Tell It" will be held at 11 a.m.  The adult musical "When Love Came Down" will be on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.

Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 134 Abney Road.

Eastman Christmas Parade

The Eastman Christmas Parade will take place on Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. and is hosted by the Eastman Lions Club.

Proceeds from the parade will be donated to the Eastman Christian Life Center.

Town Hall Meeting

A Town Hall Meeting will be held at the Cochran City Auditorium on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m to discuss the pros and cons of having a sole county commissioner versus a board of county commissioners.

Community Blood Drive to Take Place Monday

There will be a community blood drive in the main room of the county extension office located at 165 Peackcock St. on Nov. 29 from 2-7 p.m.  Those who donate can enter a drawing for a pair of roundtrip Delta Air Lines Tickets.

Southside Market opens Nov. 20th in Eastman

Church to Host Fourth Annual "Drive Through Bethlehem"

Bethany Baptist Church will have its fourth annual "Drive Through Bethlehem" event December 10-12 from 6-8 pm. 

Motorists line up in the middle school parking lot and will drive through (with headlights off) through a reinactment of the Christmas story.  The town (set up in the church parking lot) will feature a nativity scene,  Roman soldiers, live animals, shops, and much more.
