BCMS Spring Musical May 11.

Bleckley County Middle School's choral and drama department will present their spring musical The Ever After May 11 at 6 pm in the cafeteria.  Admission is $3 adults, $1 students.

Cochran-Bleckley Friends of the Library held a book signing for Dr Tracie Provost Tuesday night. Provost, a professor of European History at Middle Georgia State University, recently published her first novel "Under the Blood Moon." Besides taking audience questions, Provost also shared various anecdotes, including the fact she handwrites pages before backing them up digitally. Cochran church hosting gospel sing April 28.

Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy will hold a gospel sing April 28 at 7 pm. Performing will be Christian/Southern Gospel singer Kevin Lane and trio New Beginnings. Admission is free. The church is located at 269 GA 87 in Cochran.

Friends of the Library hosting book signing April 24.

Cochran-Bleckley Friends of the Library will hold a book signing for Dr. Tracie Provost April 24 at 6:30 pm in the conference room of the Tessie W. Norris-Cochran Bleckley Library. Provost recently published her first novel "Under the Blood Moon." She is a professor of European History at Middle Georgia State University.

Cochran Cleanup Day April 21.

As part of the Great American Cleanup, a cleanup Cochran Day will be held April 21 from 9 am-noon.  Meet behind the Chamber of Commerce on third street to receive cleaning supplies and locations.  Lunch will be provided there once completed.  For more information, call the chamber, (478)934-2965.

Good turnout at Royal golf tournament.

Sunny skies and springlike temperatures made it a good day to hit the links.  That's what 26 teams did at the 28th annual Royal Golf Tournament held at Uchee Trail Country Club in Cocrhran did Saturday.  Proceeds from the tournament will go toward team expenses for the coming season.
