Cochran Christian Men's Fellowship event January 20.

The Cochran Christian Men's Fellowship is an interdenominational gathering of men that have been meeting regularly for almost two years to enjoy food, a time of sharing, and prayer. They'll be holding an event January 20 at 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church's Hangar, 130 Beech St. A meal will be provided for free. Guest speaker will be State Rep. Danny Mathis. Updated Cochran Martin Luther King Day Jr. parade information.

Lineup for the Cochran-Bleckley NAACP Martin Luther King, JR. Day parade will be at 11 am at Middle Georgia State University on January 20. The parade starts at noon. Following the parade, a program will be held at House of Grace Church, 133 Jac Arts Rd. Guest speaker will be Michael J. Walton, Pastor of Mt. Cilla Baptist Church in Hawkinsville. Story Time at the Library January 15.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be January 15 at 10 am.  This month's reader is Oneta Kitchens.  Story Time is presented by the Bleckley County Retired Educators.

Bleckley PTO meeting January 13.

Bleckley PTO will meet January 13 at 6 pm in the art room at Bleckley Primary.  The puprose of the meeting will be to plan this year's Father-Daughter dance.

Volunteers sought for Cochran MLK Day Parade.

The Cochran-Bleckley NAACP Martin Luther King Jr. parade and marching band festival will be January 20 from 11:30 am-1 pm in downtown Cochran.  The theme is "Let Freedom Ring."  Volunteers are sought to partcipate in this year's parade.  A form can be downloaded by clicking here.  Call (404)987-2790 for more information.

House of Grace Church offered a chance to worship to end 2019 with an appearance by husband and wife evangelists Noah and Ivy Cleveland. Noah is a musician and author, Ivy an author and speaker who also does a women’s ministry. Those in attendance enjoyed a night of inspirational words and songs.

Opening Day for basketball at rec. department January 4.

Opening Day for basketball that will take place in the recently remodeled Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department gym will be January 4. Games start at 9 am. Admission is $2 per person. No heels nor boots will be allowed on the gym floor.
