Bleckley County Retired Educators meeting February 6.

The Bleckley County Retired Educators will have their montly meeting on February 6 at noon in the main building of the County Extension Office, 165 E. Peacock Street.  Contact Kathy Jones, (478)230-7047 by February 3 to confirm your meal.

New art exhibition opening at Middle Georgia State February 4.

The Heather Jones Art Exhibition will open at Peacock Gallery located on the first floor of Russell Hall on the Cochran campus of Middle Georgia State University February 4. An opening reception and gallery talk will be held that night at 6 pm. The exhibition will be on display through March 1. Peacock Gallery hours are 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 8 am to noon on Fridays.

The Cleghorns at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church February 3.

The Cleghorns, a family southern gospel group based in Kathleen, will be in concert at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church February 3 at 11 am. The church is located at 353 Frank Cook Road in Cochran.

Bleckley Elementary Winter Festival February 7.

Bleckley Elementary will hold their annual Winter Festival February 7 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Admission is $2 per person.  Activities include Happy Hair, Bingo, Hay Ride, Jumbo Jenga, Bouncy Obsticle Course, much more.  Pizza parlor, live auction with over 50 items.  Game prices four for $1, 25 for $5.

Christ Chapel Cochran celebrating two-year anniversary February 3.

Christ Chapel Cochran, located at 330 West Dykes Street, will celebrate their two-year anniversary February 3. Services at 9 and 10:30 am. Special music, giveaways, and more.

Almost time for baseball season in Cochran.

Almost time for baseball season in Cochran.
The Dugout Club hosted a meet the players fellowship for this year's Royals baseball team Tuesday night. Players were introduced and parents heard from head coach Brad Davis on things like their goals as a coaching staff as well as importance of fundraising to support the program. The team has a scrimmage at Veterans High School February 7. It starts at 6 pm.
