Bleckley Christian Learning Center "Night of Praise and Worship" March 24.

The Bleckley Christian Learning Center will hold "A Night of Praise and Worship" March 24 at House of Grace Church.  It will feature a free concert by the duo Brothers Forever.  A love offering will be taken to benefit the BCLC, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.   House of Grace is located at 133 Jac Arts Road.

Story Time at the Library March 24.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be March 24 at 10 am.  Presented by the Bleckley County Retired Educators, reader will be Lynne Sanders.

Lakeview Baptist Church held a "pop in" cookout and movie showing Saturday night.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course popcorn were on the menu as members and guests enjoyed a showing of Same Kind of Different as Me.

Chili cook-off will benefit church missions in Uganda.

First Baptist Church will hold a chili cook-off and block party in the parking lot March 17 from 6-10 pm. Men's bracket, women's bracket, and a grand champion will be crowned. Live music from the Skylarks. Free to attend, donations appreciated. Sponsored by the FBC Mission Committee, donations will divided equally between the 2018 Ugandan Missionary Team and current missionary living in Uganda, Sheila "Buffy" Buff.  The church is locaed at 101 SE Second Street in Cochran.

Church holding Friends and Family day March 10.

Cornerstone Church of Cochran invites the community to "Friends and Family Day" this Sunday, March 10. Sunday School starts at 9:30 am, morning services at 10:45. The church is located at 129 East Beech Street.

"Spring Fling" will raise money for church missions.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will host "Spring Fling Pickin'" March 15 from 6:30-8:30 pm. It will feature a BBQ dinner with sides, silent auction, and entertainment by local talent. Sponsored by the Women on Mission group, proceeds will go toward church missions. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by calling Stephanie Stewart, (478)230-7980.  The church is located at 134 Abney Road in Cochran.

Cochran Masonic Lodge holding self defense class March 10.

Cochran Masonic Lodge 217 F&AM will hold a free self defense class March 10 at noon.  Instructor will be Adrian, Georgia Chief of Police Chris Chavis.  Though mainly intended for women, men are welcomed to attend.  The lodge is located at 217 Masonic Drive.
