House of Grace Church offered a chance to worship to end 2019 with an appearance by husband and wife evangelists Noah and Ivy Cleveland. Noah is a musician and author, Ivy an author and speaker who also does a women’s ministry. Those in attendance enjoyed a night of inspirational words and songs.

Opening Day for basketball at rec. department January 4.

Opening Day for basketball that will take place in the recently remodeled Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department gym will be January 4. Games start at 9 am. Admission is $2 per person. No heels nor boots will be allowed on the gym floor.

House of Grace holding New Year's Eve party, concert.

House of Grace Church will host a New Year's Eve party and concert featuring artist Noah Cleveland starting at 7 pm. The church is located at 133 Jac Arts Road in Cochran.

Giving the gift of life.

If one were to ask what the American Red Cross wanted for Christmas, volunteers would say blood donations to help with their life-saving efforts. Monday afternoon, Bleckley residents gave that gift at a drive held at the county extension office. Another drive will take place in mid February.

The Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will have story time and Christmas ornament decorating December 23 at 10 am.
