An evening focused on common faith, music, and history.

As part of Cochran’s 150th anniversary celebration, a community gospel sing was held Thursday night in First Baptist Church’s sanctuary sponsored by the Bleckley Christian Learning Center. Focusing on the 1860’s, the choir and audience members sang one hymn from each year. Don Giles and Jed Evans served as narrators, providing details of not only significant events but also background of the songs. The celebration concludes Saturday with the Founders’ Day Festival, Street Dance, and fireworks display.
