Cochran church holding Madden Football Youth Playoff March 24.

Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy is hosting a Madden Football playoff for youth ages 13-19 at the church, 269 GA 87 South in Cochran. First game starts at 10 am. Lunch provided. First prize is an XBOX One console, second a $50 Gamestop gift card, third a $20 Gamestop gift card. Friends of the Library Old Book Sale March 24.

Cochran-Bleckley Friends of the Library will hold their annual spring old book sale March 24 from 9 am-5 pm at the old high school library, 115 SE Ninth Street.  A variety of books to choose from, children's, drama, romance, mystery, health, many more.  Prices range from $.25 to $3 with proceeds benefiting the Tessie W. Cochran church celebrating 185th Homecoming March 18.

Limestone Baptist Church will celebrate their 185th Homecoming March 18 at 11 am.  Guest speaker will be former pastor Dr. Mark Shaw.  The church is located at 874 GA 257.

Bleckley Christian Learning Center "Night of Praise and Worship" March 24.

The Bleckley Christian Learning Center will hold "A Night of Praise and Worship" March 24 at House of Grace Church.  It will feature a free concert by the duo Brothers Forever.  A love offering will be taken to benefit the BCLC, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.   House of Grace is located at 133 Jac Arts Road.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be March 24 at 10 am.  Presented by the Bleckley County Retired Educators, reader will be Lynne Sanders.

Lakeview Baptist Church held a "pop in" cookout and movie showing Saturday night.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course popcorn were on the menu as members and guests enjoyed a showing of Same Kind of Different as Me.

Chili cook-off will benefit church missions in Uganda.

First Baptist Church will hold a chili cook-off and block party in the parking lot March 17 from 6-10 pm. Men's bracket, women's bracket, and a grand champion will be crowned. Live music from the Skylarks. Free to attend, donations appreciated. Sponsored by the FBC Mission Committee, donations will divided equally between the 2018 Ugandan Missionary Team and current missionary living in Uganda, Sheila "Buffy" Buff.  The church is locaed at 101 SE Second Street in Cochran.
