Cochran church holding monthly bingo game Saturday.

Strong Tower Ministries will hold their monthly bingo game August 25 from 6-8 pm.  Admission is free, children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.  Light refreshments served, prizes awarded.  The church is located at 186 E Dykes St.

Car wash will benefit trip to church women's conference.

House of Grace Church's Women's Ministry will hold a car wash September 2 from 9 am-1 pm at the Citizens Bank of Cochran, 124 E Dykes St. Proceeds will go toward their October trip to a women's conference in Chickamauga.

"BCHS Honors Biology Day" at Cochran Dairy Queen August 19.

August 19 will be "BCHS Honors Biology Day" at Cochran DQ Grill & Chill.  Students from the high school Honors Biology class will be collecting donations and the restaurant will donate a portion of all sales to the class.  Proceeds will go toward the annual class trip to SeaCamp.

Whie the walls of House of Grace Church in Cochran echo with the sounds of worship and praise on Sundays, they echoed with laughter and applause Saturday night as comedian Lisa Mills appeared.  Mills, a Warner Robins native, shared her southern-inspired everyday tales of life, sprinkled with generous amounts of humor.

Cochran church opening food bank August 18.

Faith Temple Precious Faith Ministies located at 383 GA 87 will open their food bank to local residents August 18 from 4:30-5:30 pn.  Financial donations welcomed.  Call Sherri Ligon for more information, (478)298-2844.

Cochran community blood drive August 14.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in the Bleckley 4-H/County Extension Office main building August 14 from 2-7 pm.  To make an appointment online, visit redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code "Bleckley."

The Cochran-Bleckley Arts Alliance held their third annual Sidewalk Art Contest Saturday morning. Children, with provided materials, drew on the sidewalk in front of the Arts Alliance building. There were 23 participants Winners by division. Pre K- Eliana Agnew, fourth place. Kailee Bryant, third place. Levi Arnold, second place. Paige Bryant, first place.
