Dodge Co. 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk Successful

The Dodge County HS JROTC Indian Battalion (with the help of countless volunteers) hosted a 10th Anniversary 5K Run/Walk in memory of the thousands of American citizens who perished on 9/11.

On Saturday, September 10, 2011, more than 200 runners and spectators of all kinds gathered on the grounds of the historic Dodge County Courthouse to pay respect to the fallen and run for Wounded Warrior Project.

Run for Wounded Warriors on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11!

The 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk benefiting Wounded Warrior Project is a service learning project for Army JROTC Cadets at Dodge County High School. In collaboration with

Parade Honors Local Hero, Welcomes Home

Saturday, 3 September 2011, a parade to honor Tony and his family begins noon. 

The parade route begins at the corner of Commerce St and Progress Ave going East.

The parade route passes Veterans Park and continues on West on Broad St.

The main event will be held in the gym at the Hawkinsville High School located on Red Devil Drive. 

A meet and greet will follow the speaking event.

During the Meet and Greet, entertainment will be provided by DJ BS Music “Brian Smith”.

Plan to join in food and fun while  welcoming a wounded warrior HOME.

Weekend Fun: Redneck Circus Comes to Abbeville

The Redneck Circus drives into town this weekend at Soggy Bottom ATV Park in Abbeville.

The circus takes place Friday-Monday.

Contests scheduled include:

Girls' mud wrestling

What can you do with duct tape

Lawn mower/tractor pulls

Greasy pig contest
