Story Time at the Library October 17.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be October 17 at 10 am.  Reader will be Margaret Kilpatrick.  Story Time is presented by Bleckley County Retired Educators.

Cochran church to hold Community Revival, Homecoming services.

Turner Chapel AME Church will hold a a Community Revival October 2-4.  Guest speakers are as follows.  Tuesday- Pastor Patricia Jones, Free Providence Baptist Church.  Wednesday-  Rev. Gregory Cutts, Christian Hope Baptist Church.  Thursday- Rev. Bobby Jackson, Union Chapel Baptist Church.  All three services start at 7 pm.


Homecoming will be October 7 at 3 pm.  Guest speaker will be Rev. Bruce Frances, Duresville AME Church.  Dinner to follow.  Turner Chapel is located at 16 North Seventh Street.

Cochran church holding Fifth Sunday night sing September 30.

Limestone Baptist Church will hold a Fifth Sunday Night sing September 30 at 6 pm. Performing will be southern gospel group Trinity's Call. The church is located at 874 GA 257 in Cochran.

Bethany Baptist Church will celebrate their 150th anniversary September 30 at 10:30 am.  Special music, message by former pastor Bobby Harrell, lunch to follow.  The church is located at 608 GA 26 in Cochran.

Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church Homecoming September 16.

Pastor Brian Williams and the congregation of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church invites the community to come September 16 for Homecoming. Sunday School at 10 am, worship service at 10:45. Guest speaker Rev. Chris Maxwell, special music by the Down East Boys. Empire Pentecostal is located at 101 Church Street in Cochran.

Lakeview Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming September 16 at 10:30 am. Former pastor Billy Vaughn will be guest speaker. Special music by gospel group One Purpose. Lunch to follow. The church is located at 203 Lakeview Church Road in Cochran.

Back to the Basics 101 celebrated the grand opening of their new facility Friday night. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, guests enjoyed live music, games, Booocha on tap, and could shop for products.
