Special music at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church October 28.

Pastor J. Brian Williams and the congregation of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church extend a special invitation to visit October 28. Gospel quartet The Diplomats will be performing at 10:30 am. Empire Pentecostal is located at 101 Church Street.

Christ Chapel Cochran Fall Family Festival Sunday.

Christ Chapel Cochran will hold a Fall Family Festival October 21 from 4-7 pm at the Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department, 330 West Dykes Street.  Attractions include food trucks, inflatables, trunk or treat, and games.

Dive into reading at Bleckley Primary Literacy Night.

Bleckley Primary will hold Literacy Night October 25 from 4-6 pm.  Theme is "Dive into reading."  Shop at the book fair, win books at the book walk, swap out your old books for different ones at the book swap.  There will also be a variety of literacy games available.  Drawing for a $10 gift certificate to the book fair for BCPS students will be held, frst 50 to attend will receive a prize.  The school is located at 259 Peter Street NE in Cochran.

Cochran-Bleckley CountryFest October 20.

The 2018 Cochran-Bleckley CountryFest, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce will take place October 20.  Most activities will be held on Third and Cherry streets.  New for this year, the annual Wheen 'N For Tots Car Show.  It'll be on Second Street, a registration form can be found here.   Also new, a corn hole tournament to be held in the chamber parking lot on Thrd street at 2 pm.

Festival runs from 10 am-5 pm.  Food, arts and crafts, kids area, more.  Street dance starts at 4 with Mama and Them, followed by Entaraj from 6-9 pm.   Call the chamber for more information, (478)934-2965.

Story Time at the Library October 17.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will be October 17 at 10 am.  Reader will be Margaret Kilpatrick.  Story Time is presented by Bleckley County Retired Educators.

Cochran church to hold Community Revival, Homecoming services.

Turner Chapel AME Church will hold a a Community Revival October 2-4.  Guest speakers are as follows.  Tuesday- Pastor Patricia Jones, Free Providence Baptist Church.  Wednesday-  Rev. Gregory Cutts, Christian Hope Baptist Church.  Thursday- Rev. Bobby Jackson, Union Chapel Baptist Church.  All three services start at 7 pm.


Homecoming will be October 7 at 3 pm.  Guest speaker will be Rev. Bruce Frances, Duresville AME Church.  Dinner to follow.  Turner Chapel is located at 16 North Seventh Street.

Cochran church holding Fifth Sunday night sing September 30.

Limestone Baptist Church will hold a Fifth Sunday Night sing September 30 at 6 pm. Performing will be southern gospel group Trinity's Call. The church is located at 874 GA 257 in Cochran.
