Cochran church to host Bingo

Strong Tower Ministries located at 186 E Dykes St in Cochran will host Bingo games March 25 starting at 6 pm. Games are free to play, prizes offered and light refreshments served.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Church women's ministry offering free breakfast every fourth Sunday.

Turner Chapel AME Church offers a free breakfast for the community every fourth Sunday of the month.  Sponsored by the Women's Ministry, breakfast is served from 9-9:50 am.  Guests are invited to then stay for church school and the 11 am service.  Turner Chapel is located at 163 N Seventh St in Cochran.

Cochran church celebrating 184 year anniversary March 26.

Limestone Baptist Church will celebrate their 184 year anniversary with Homecoming service March 26 at 11 am. Rev. Robert Woodall will be guest speaker.  Meal to follow, no evening service.  Limestone Baptist is located at 874 Highway 257.

Story Time at the Library March 15.

Story Time at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran Bleckley Library will be March 28 at 10 am.  Presented by the Bleckley County Retired Educators, reader will be Sharon Williams.

Cochran church holding revival, celebrating pastor's anniversary.

Faith Temple Precious Faith Ministries will hold Spring Revival March 11-13 at 7 pm.  Pastor Benjamin Clark will be guest speaker.   A 20th pastor anniversary family/friend fun day will be March 18 at 11 am.  The anniversary service will be March 19 at 2:30 pm.  Dinner to follow the service.

Bleckley Primary becomes "Seussville."

Thursday was the birthday of Dr. Seuss.  Bleckley Primary held a celebration to honor the beloved children's author as well as promote literacy.  Children enjoyed a variety of reading and word-based games.
