In declarations posted on the Bleckley County Emergency Management Agency Facebook page Tuesday afternoon, both include a curfew from 10 pm to 6 am. Both note while no COVID-19 cases have yet been diagnosed, the noves are being done to protect both citizens and employees. Exceptions to the curfew are made for people traveling to work, as well as fuel, food, and medicine pickup and delivery. Following the announcement by the city yesterday that city hall and the police department would be closed to the public until further notice, Commissioner Bob Brockman made a similar announcement concerning the county courthouse as well as law enforcement. He asked citizens to call (478)934-3200 and the appropriate extension if needing assistance.
