Royals Roll Past Crawford County | HS Sports
It would've been easy for Bleckley to overlook Friday's football game at winless Crawford County. Homecoming on October 11 against a Macon County team ranked in two polls. BCHS though got out to a quick start against the Eagles and never looked back.
D'Andre Pitts had a 42-yard punt return in the first to make it 7-0 with 5:56 left. Antavias Robertson dashed 37 yards with 3:17 remaining. No PAT but it was 13-0. He scored again as time expired.
Up 20-0 in the second, Pitts picked off a pass. From the Eagles seven, Mario McClendon scored to make it 27-0 with 10:43 left in the half. Ross would go 36 yards to score less than three minutes later. After a fumble recovery on the Eagle one, Tije'a Randall punched it home to make it 41-0.
Anthony Wright's 65-yard touchdown run in the third capped Bleckley's scoring. The Eagles lone touchdown came on an eight-yard reception with 8:23 left in the game. BCHS won 48-7, holding Crawford County to 87 yards of total offense.
BC had 281 yards, all on the ground. Robertson had three carries for 76 yards, Ross two for 59. The 2013 BCHS Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime of the Macon County game on October 11. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
