Royals Celebrate Homecoming with Big Win Over Macon County | HS Sports
BCHS faced their toughest challenge to date Friday when they hosted Macon County for Homecoming. The Royals had won big in Montezuma last year on the Bulldogs Homecoming night. Thanks in part to some big plays by the secondary, Macon County was unable to return the favor.
BC intercepted Bulldogs freshman QB K'hari Lane five times, two were returned for touchdowns by Tavon Ross, in a 42-21 win. Ross had a 62-yard pick six in the first half and had a 90-yard return to end the game.
D'Andre Pitts interception set up Tije'a Randall's second touchdown of the game. Randall finished with 14 carries on 95 yards, including a season high 52-yard touchdown run in the first half. Antavias Robertson had 73 yards on 12 carries including an 11-yard touchdown run in the first half.
The Bulldogs did most of their damage through the air. Lane threw for 210 yards but it came on 20 of 43 completions. Bleckley stuffed their run game, holding Macon County to 20 yards including -6 in the second half.
BCHS plays at Taylor County Octber 18. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
