Bleckley Blows Past Monticello | HS Sports
Coming off a dissappointing loss against Lamar County, the Royals were likely trying to send a message Friday when they played Monticello. At the end of the night, message received.
BCHS had 373 yards on the ground and scored a season-high 54 points as they blew out the Hurricanes 54-13. Tavon Ross accounted for 161 of those yards on six carries. He was also 4 of 6 passing for 94 yards with two touchdowns. Ross led the defense with seven tackles.
Jeremy Marshall had an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Freshman LaDarrick Vickers had 57 yards on five second half carries. Tije'a Randall had 47 yards on nine carries including a touchdown.
Bleckley hosts Northeast November 8. It will be senior night, with recognition begining at 7 p.m. If the Royals win, they'll host Bryan County in round one of the state playoffs.
