Boys struggle offensively as BC and Northeast split

The Lady Royals outscored Northeast 43-24 in the second half to win at Northeast 73-39 Friday.  MyEsha Moore scored 17 points.  Dewanda Blackshear had 16.  Tia Troup added 12.

The Royals had scored seven points over the first 12 minutes of the first half but a late flourish got them within six points at halftime.  Despite going down by 12 in the third, they trailed 38-29 going to the fourth on a DJ Lemmon three with 10 seconds left.

BC's only basket of the final quarter came with under a minute left in a 55-33 loss.  Kevonn Farrow had 9 points. Lemmon had 7.  Bleckley will make up last week's postponed home games with Taylor County Saturday.  JV boys tip at 1:30 pm.  Senior recognition is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
