The date had been moved twice.  The location moved from Cochran to Dexter.  Finally, the Royals and West Laurens Raiders were able to scrimmage each other in baseball Friday night as the two schools had done for the past few years.

Both teams had multiple substitutions to allow coaches to evaluate different players as well as allow players time at different positions.  Some innings were played regular while others worked on in-game situations such as two runners on, no out.

Several Bleckley players had offensive contributions including a two-run double from Landon Anderson and RBI double from Zac Evans.  Austin Simmons had a sac fly and what proved to be the game-winning hit in the top of the seventh to give BC a 10-8 win.

Just learned Friday evening was a schedule change.  Monday's game at Telfair County has been moved to February 20 in McRae.  The Royals open regular season play Tuesday at Jeff Davis High School.
