Short-handed Lady Royals lose final Paw Print Classic games

Summer high school softball games are optional.  Sometimes, players miss.  BCHS had three out as they took the field for their final two Paw Print Classic games.  It reduced their numbers to just nine.

With players out of position at places they had limited experience at, plus bats that never got on track, Bleckley struggled.  In a 6-1 loss to Treutlen, the team had just two hits.  Faith Harris was 1 for 2 with a double.  Jordan Williams went 1 for 2 with a triple.

Against Cairo, BC left the bases loaded with one out in the fifth.  Seven in the sixth proved to be the difference in a 10-0 loss.  Harris, Aliyah Whitehead, and Elizabeth Mathis all went 1 for 2.  The team will play in a pre-season tournament hosted by Effingham County High School July 22-23.
