Football is king in Dodge, Bleckley and Pulaski counties, and the 2012 season has been validation of that since day one.
Coaches Rex Hodges, Tracy White and David Daniell, each experienced, took on different roles this year as the head coach for the Indians, Royals and Red Devils.
In Bleckley County, Friday, Tracy White took his team to a 35 to 14 win over Taylor County.
Friday's victory marks the fifth straight win in the row for the Royals, and the sixth for the season, with the team's only loss going to West Laurens.
Bleckley will face Lamar County Oct. 26, Monticello Nov. 2 and Northeast Macon on Nov.9.
Hawkinsville, under David Daniell, has had a up and down season, and though the points have not always been in the team's favor in the end, the young, fresh Red Devils have shown much improvement since camp this summer.
Friday night was the Red Devils' second win of the season. They beat Central Talbotton 48-8. Their other win came against Schley County in the beginning of the season 49-40.
