BCHS Sweeps Macon County in Return to Region Play | HS Sports

With the holidays ending and school starting back Tuesday, regular season basketball play resumed.  Friday, BCHS traveled to Montezuma to take on Macon County.  Dewanda Blackshear scored 14 of her career-high 25 points in the second quarter that saw the Lady Royals open up a 51-18 lead.

They would go on to win 93-29, topping the record-setting 79 points scored against Jackson Atlanta.  Tia Troup scored 15.  Mario Beck had eight points in each of the first two quarters as the Royals led 31-20 at halftime.  Up 18 going to the fourth, the Bulldogs got within 10 but Bleckley pulled away 62-46.

Beck scored 24.  Rydealous Taylor had 11 of his 15 points in the second half. 

BC plays at West Laurens Saturday.  JV tip at 3 p.m. with varsity to follow.
