Rally Comes Up Short as BCHS Loses Baseball Opener | HS Sports

The Royals baseball team had lost three of their four last games to Hawkinsville going into Monday's opener at Red Devil field. Already down two after two and a half innings, HHS scored five in the third and four in the fourth to go up 11-0.
Ridge Warren had a two-run double as part of a seven-run outburtst that cut the BC deficit to four. Frankie Lee Mullis' RBI groundout in the sixth made it 11-8. Tavon Ross' fourth walk of the game with two outs in the seventh would not produce another run in an 11-8 loss. The eight runs were aided by 11 Red Devil walks and a pair of errors.
Mullis finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Bleckley plays at Veterans High School Thursday. Start time is 5:55 p.m.
