Rally Comes Up Short as BCHS Loses Baseball Opener

The Royals baseball team had lost three of their four last games to Hawkinsville going into Monday's opener at Red Devil field.  Already down two after two and a half innings, HHS scored five in the third and four in the fourth to go up 11-0.

Ridge Warren had a two-run double as part of a seven-run outburtst that cut the BC deficit to four.  Frankie Lee Mullis' RBI groundout in the sixth made it 11-8.  Tavon Ross' fourth walk of the game with two outs in the seventh  would not produce another run in an 11-8 loss.  The eight runs were aided by 11 Red Devil walks and a pair of errors.

Mullis finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.  Bleckley plays at Veterans High School Thursday.  Start time is 5:55 p.m.
