Lady Royals Advance in State Playoffs

For the first time since the current BCHS was built, a girls state basketball game was played as the Lady Royals hosted Cook County.  Despite a 20-point first quarter, Bleckley scored just eight in the second and ten in the third.  Cook tied the score at 38 in the fourth.

N'yasia Anderson hit a three with 4:36 left in the game to spur a 16-4 run.  BCHS went on to win 54-42.  Foul shooting was 11 of 29 (38 percent.)  Tia Troup scored 11 of her team leading 21 points in the second half.  Friday's second round game will be versus Dublin at 6 p.m.  The Royals host Thomasville Wednesday at 6 p.m.
