Bats Come Alive as Royals Beat Crawford County at Home | HS Sports
BCHS looked to shake a three-game losing streak and even their record in region play Friday when they hosted Crawford County. Up two after solo home runs by Bryant Trice and Caleb Slaughter in the first, Trice had a two-run double and stole home to make it 5-1.
Trice and Slaughter had RBI hits in a three-run fourth. Cal Young slid home on a wild pitch capping a four-run fifth as the Royals won 12-2. Slaughter was 4 for 4 with 2 RBI. Trice went 3 for 4 with 5 RBI. They combined for seven of BC's 12 hits. Austin Simmons was 2 for 3. Tavon Ross went 1 for 2.
Dylan Churchwell struck out eight over five innings, giving up four hits, one earned run. Bleckley plays at Macon County Tuesday. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
