Lady Royals edge Lamar, clinch region title.

Not only did BCHS sweep the season series from a tough region rival, they clinched their first region title since 2014 thanks to some help from another region opponent.  Read more here.

For the first time ever, BCHS cross country hosted a night race at the high school baseball field. Runners participated in a two-mile race which started in right field and ended near the third base dugout. There was a JV race featuring eighth graders and high school students not running with the varsity and two varsity races. It was a clean sweep for the Runnin’ Royals as all four teams finished first. Top individuals were as follows. JV boys- Briggs Dominy. JV girls- Ellen Arnold. Varsity boys- Luke Churchwell. Varsity girls- Tristen Crosby. The varsity and middle school teams return to action October 8 at the Bleckley County Invitational.

BCHS scored eight in the first en route to a 15-0 win versus Washington County Tuesday afternoon.  Winning pitcher Riley Haley went 2 for 2 with a triple and 3 RBI. Clara Rickerson was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI.  Jordyn Krieg went 1 for 2 with 3 RBI. E’lisia Vickers was 1 for 2.  The Lady Royals return to action October 7 at Hawkinsville.  Game time is 5:30 pm.

Royals enter bye week on high note with win at Vidalia.

Though they missed some scoring opportunities, BCHS got a late touchdown run from Chuckie Stephens then a big defensive stop en route to winning 21-14 at Vidalia Friday night.  Click here for more.

Lady Royals stay hot with win at Lamar County.

BCHS won their third straight and kept a hold on the top spot in 3-AA with a 6-4 win at Lamar County Thursday afternoon. BC led 4-1 going to the fourth when the Lady Trojans hit a three-run home run to tie the score. Two in the top of the sixth put Bleckley back on top. Lamar threatened in the bottom of the seventh getting two on with two outs. A fielder’s choice by the #5 batter ended the game. Trinity Glover went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Clara Rickerson was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. The Lady Royals host Washington County September 29 at 5:30 pm.

BCHS won their second straight game, winning at the Academy for Classical Education 4-1 Tuesday evening. Clara Rickerson went 2 for 4. The Lady Royals resume region play Thursday at Lamar County. Game time is 5:30 pm.
