Two BCHS cheerleaders named to GCCA All State Team.

Bleckley County High School senior cheerleaders Abbi Belflower and Shykemmia (Shy) Chambers were selected to the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association All State Team. They were two of five BCHS seniors to make the top 30 in class 1-4A. Each cheerleader had to submit a routine video with a cheer, jumps, tumbling, stunt, and dance as well as interview via Zoom conducted Sunday afternoon. The all state team and Cheerleader of the Year will be announced at the state cheerleading finals on February 16, 2021 in Columbus.

Lady Royals lose first region game.

BCHS suffered their first region softball loss, 9-1 at Monticello Tuesday afternoon. E'lisia Vickers went 1 for 2.   The Lady Royals are scheduled to play at 5 pm in McRae this afternoon versus Telfair County.

BCHS built a 5-2 lead at Dodge County then held off a late comeback attempt by the Lady Indians to win 6-5 Saturday morning.  Read more here.

Lady Royals win big at Washington County.

BCHS evened their overall record at 5-5 and moved to 2-0 in region play with an 18-0 wina at Washington County Thursday afternoon. Trinity Glover went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI. Jordyn Krieg went 3 for 3 with 1 RBI. Riley Haley was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Darci Dillard went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Marley Jarrell was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Clara Rickerson went 2 for 4. The Lady Royals have a Saturday morning matchup against Dodge County at 10 am.
