Long final day at the ballfield.

It was a busy day for BCHS baseball.  The team played their final regular season games, a doubleheader, at home against Swainsboro.  It was also Senior Night.  Game one made it an even longer affair as it took 11 innings.

Bleckley failed to score with the bases loaded and one out twice as part of nine runners stranded as they lost at home to Fitzgerald 6-1 Thursday night.  To read more, click here.

Longtime rivals Bleckley and Dodge played a classic baseball game in Eastman Tuesday night, going nine innings.  The Royals suffered a close loss, 2-1 in nine innings.  Read more by clicking here.

BCHS has little trouble sweeping Southwest.

Because of wet field conditions when the teams were to play in Macon, Bleckley and Southwest played both games of their region baseball series in Cochran Friday.  The Royals rolled, winning 10-0 and 15-0.  To read more, click here.

BCHS baseball falls at Fitzgerald.

Bleckley saw their five-game winning streak end Thursday night with a 7-1 loss at Fitzgerald.  Noah Wimberly and Andrew Butler each went 2 for 3. Jack Fernandez was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Bleckley hosts Southwest tomorrow in a doubleheader. Game one starts at 4:30 pm.

Both the BCHS girls and boys tennis teams won the 3-AA title Tuesday at Dublin High School.  The boys open against Davidson Fine Arts School, the girls against Westside-Augusta.  Times are TBD.  Girls soccer clinched the second seed in region and a home playoff game with a 1-0 win at Dublin last night.  Jayda Danner's successful second half penalty kick was the difference maker.  Boys soccer lost 2-1 on penalty kicks.

BCHS rallies past Toombs County.
Bleckley trailed Toombs County 5-1 after two and a half innings but scored six unanswered runs to win 7-5 Wednesday night. Carter Raffield was 2 for 3 with a two-run double. Steven Knighton was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Joseph Spires was 1 for 2 with a two-run single. Noah Wimberly went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Andrew Thompson was 1 for 2. The Royals play at Fitzgerald today. JV start at 4 pm with varsity to follow.
