Monday, Bleckley made up the September 12 game against Dublin that was postponed due to Irma.  Though the minds of many were on the upcoming game against Dodge County, the Lady Royals wasted little time with the Lady Irish.

A 13-run bottom of the first set the pace as BCHS won 16-1.  Bailey Odom threw three no-hit innings, giving up one walk.  Landa Dominy was 2 for 2 with a three-run home run and 4 RBI.  Abbey Sims was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI.  Jayla Willis went 1 for 2 with 3 RBI.  BC and Dodge will meet in a game that will determine top seed for next week's region tournament in Eastman today at 5:30 pm.

Both the Bleckley middle and high school competition cheer squads competed at the West Laurens Raider Rumble Saturday.  BCMS placed second out of 10 teams.  South Effingham finished first, they're the feeder for 5A South Effingham High School.  They'll return to action October 14 at the Sweet Onion Cheer Classic hosted by Vidalia High School.

BCHS won the AA division.  They also were awarded the grand championship for having the highest score of all squads competing.  The Royals will compete at Ola High School September 30.

Bleckley got 156 yards and three touchdowns from Nykeem Farrow as they celebrated Homecoming and won their region opener 21-7 against Northeastt Friday night.  Read more on the game here.  The Royals play September 29 at Dublin, kickoff is 7:30 pm.

Bleckley built a 5-0 lead Wednesday against Schley County, only to see the Lady Wildcats tie the game 6-6.  The Lady Royals though would score a run in the sixth and hold on for a 7-6 win.  Read more on the game here.  BC will make up the postponed September 12 home game against Dublin this Monday at 5:30 pm.

BCHS gets past East Laurens.

Despite standing 10 runners, the Lady Royals got back in the win column, defeating East Laurens 5-0 Tuesday afternoon.  Landa Dominy went 2 for 3 with a double.  Abbey Sims was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.  BCH hosts Schley County today at 5:30 pm.

Down 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth Monday against Dodge County, Bleckley scored three runs with two outs. However, the Lady Indians loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh, scoring four times.  It would prove to be enough as the Lady Royals lost 8-5.  Read more on the game here.

BCHS wrapped up their season series with Washington County Saturday morning, making up a previous rainout. Just as when the teams met Thursday in Sandersville, it took the Lady Royals just four innings to prevail, winning 13-1.  Aliyah Whitehead was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Bailey Odom went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI, and also struck out eight while throwing a two-hitter. Miranda Pearson went 2 for 3. Caroline Thrower went 1 for 2 with an RBI double. Bleckley hosts Dodge County Monday at 5:30 pm.
